For design option 2, our team decided to build toward a more simple, yet slightly modernized design.  With this design plan, our team still felt that the building needed some kind of open feel or concept.  Rather than taking the roof completely off of the building, we decided to leave the structural columns in place, and perform selective wall demolition, allowing us to provide an eye capturing window wall. As you can tell in the second photo, this window wall makes for an amazing student study area. Our team felt that open feel study area with acoustic ceiling panels made for a great overall option 2.  With this option, we were still able to implement office space windows across the entirety of the building, still allowing all full-time employees a more energized working environment.
