ABOUT ME
My name is Alec Reeves, I am currently an undergraduate student in Civil Engineering at Auburn University, where I will be graduating December 15th, 2018. After graduation I will be in search of a full-time position working with either an engineering firm or general contracting company in hopes of furthering my career and pursuing a professional engineering license. A little bit about myself, I am from Dothan, Alabama where I attended Houston Academy. A few of my hobbies include sports of all kind, hunting, fishing, grilling, and building. Now that I am officially a "has been" my hobbies have died out to just hunting, fishing, grilling, and building. Throughout my educational and working experience, I discovered that I enjoy the construction management side of civil engineering the most. Construction management allows me to visually see plans enter into the real world, which is what I like most about construction. This is the main reason that I enjoy building various items (i.e., coffee tables, dinner tables, desk, etc.). In high school I took a very hardworking motto in my
sports career which is in the past now, but I have always done my best to carry that same attitude into the working world. I have always strived for perfection and performed everything that I do to the best of my abilities. My senior year, I was fortunate enough to win a state championship, which you can see pictured in the background. I think moments like those, the ones that are never forgotten, help you remember how much that hard work will pay off. Although it may be tough to see the connection between sports and the working world sometimes; still, it has given me some of my best qualities. It has provided me the quality of working hard in order to be at the top.
